Broadly speaking, you will find three kinds of couples on the dance floor (or at the party)

The Mr. and Mrs. Smith – fun loving couples who set the dance floor on fire with their infectious energy and creative moves, will have to top the list. Next, the classy couples – people who know their waltz from their foxtrot and will always be the cynosure because of those perfectly coordinated steps. Last but never the least, there’s always the self-conscious couples who do not prefer dancing and would rather spend time visibly making out in the dimly lit parts of the room.

Irrespective of where you fall on our list, it doesn’t hurt to know your moves, since life has its ways of making us dance to its tunes. Before you attempt throwing your phone at us for this horrendous pun, let us elaborate a very real situation – someone you like asks you out for a dance, and you end up having two left feet. Not good, right?

Here’s a little bit about famous dance forms around the world, who knows maybe you take fancy to them and attempt to master at least one of them (of course we will not forget about all the calories that you are about to lose)

Two to Tango!

Argentina earns its name for being home to a revolutionary leader (Che), a world famous footballer (Messi) and this sensuous dance form. It is considered by many to be one of the most difficult dances to learn. But we also know that practice makes perfect. Challenge yourself with Tango, we are sure you’ll emerge victoriously!

Waltz with a sweetheart!

This legendary Viennese dance form is very graceful. It is slow-paced, quick to pick up, easy to learn yet being very appealing to the eye. A perfect style, fit for a cozy evening together with your special someone.

Salsa

Remember being mesmerized by a certain Senorita in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara? We believe her charm had much to do with the moves that she was pulling off. This dance style has its origins in Cuba and is considered the king of Latin dances. It allows a couple to be very close to each other, differing from Waltz where it is essential to maintain a specific distance between the bodies.

Let’s try the Cha-Cha-Cha dance

It gets its name from the sound of sandals against the floor. It’s a very energetic dance form and not that commonplace. You can try your hands at learning this steamy dance form with someone you’re dating. It’ll definitely work wonders with the spice in the relationship.

‘Remember to let her into your heart, then you can start to make it better!’ goes the famous Beatles song. Whether it is dancing to the tunes of life or to the tunes on the floor, what matters is dancing in style.
